City: Province of Neuquén
rnTerm: 260 days
rnYear: 2015

FEATURES:
rnThe project involved the expansion of the treatment lagoons through the construction of the following facilities:

  • Waterproofing of the lagoon using a polyethylene membrane to prevent scouring of the lagoon floor caused by convective currents required for complete mixing.
  • Construction of an Inlet Chamber.
  • Construction of Bypass Valve Chambers and bypass piping for the plant.
  • Construction of a Distribution Chamber.
  • Construction of Docks for the operation of aeration and mixing equipment.
  • Installation of an aeration and mixing system in the complete-mix lagoon.
  • Construction of the discharge structure for the existing lagoon, which now operates under the new system as a sedimentation lagoon.
  • Installation and construction of interconnection pipelines between lagoons, including the corresponding inspection chambers.
  • On the banks of the Chimehuin River, the existing and new discharge pipelines flow into a common inspection chamber, from where the effluent is discharged into the river through a 500 mm diameter steel pipe.
  • Construction of an Electrical Control Room.
  • Installation of electrical systems to supply power to new equipment.
  • Installation of outdoor lighting.
  • Installation of power systems for motors and equipment.
